Program Description
I.Introduction
The discipline is aimed at the sustainable use of economic aquatic animals and plants. In this program, basic biology, physiology, genetics and ecology are required to study the regular pattern of growth, development, reproduction and their relationship with environment, further to protect and sustainably utilize resources. Moreover, theories and operations relevant to nutritional requirements, disease prevention and control, genetic improvement, water environment regulation and remediation and so forth, can provide technical support for efficient utilization of aquatic animals and plants resources.
II. Approach
Either the supervisor or the supervision team with a leading supervisor takes full responsibility for the postgraduate student’s cultivation. The supervisor or the team should formulate and adjust the students’ training plans, and give advice in their professional studies, scientific research and dissertation writing.
Students pursuing master degrees are cultivated in the way of combination of course work and research.
III. Main Courses
Public Degree Courses: Chinese, China Introduction
Major and Elective Courses: Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, Fish Production and Culture, Aquaculture Nutrition and Feed, Aquatic Ecology, Modern Biostatistics, Aquatic Animal Breeding, Aquatic Animal Pathogen, Bioinformatics.

Written in English or Chinese, including research achievements thus far (e.g. title and abstracts of graduation thesis or published paper), reasons for choosing SHOU, study objectives while attending SHOU, future research and career plans, etc.

Written in English or Chinese, including your personal information, educational background, work or intern experience, achievements so far, etc.

An essay statement written in English or Chinese on one page of A4 size paper. Introduce your motivation of application: describe your interest and enthusiasm for your chosen major, and how your previous studies or experiences related to it. Describe what makes you suitable, such as relevant skills, experience, or achievements gained from previous education, work, and other activities.
14. Self-introduction (recorded in video)
Videos in mp4, wmv avi, flv, rmvb format are accepted.
15. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
