Program Description
I. Introduction
The discipline is committed to the following research areas: data base and data warehouse, artificial intelligence and data mining, management information system, expert system, information retrieval, distributed information system, computer control, sensor networks, and other computer technologies. The discipline also values development and research in computer applications in such areas as automation of facility fishery, prediction of resources environment of distant water and ocean, and assessment and protection of ecological environment.
II. Approach
Either the supervisor or the supervision team with a leading supervisor takes full responsibility for the postgraduate student’s cultivation. The supervisor or the team should formulate and adjust the students’ training plans, and give advice in their professional studies, scientific research and dissertation writing.
Students pursuing master degrees are cultivated in the way of combination of course work and research.

Public Degree Courses: Chinese, China Introduction
Major and Elective Courses: Advanced Database Theory, Artificial Intelligence Theory, Decision Support System, Embedded system design and application, Neural Network Model and Application, Data Analysis, Geographic Information System,. Basic Theory and Application of DSP, Internet of things.

Written in English or Chinese, including research achievements thus far (e.g. title and abstracts of graduation thesis or published paper), reasons for choosing SHOU, study objectives while attending SHOU, future research and career plans, etc.

An essay statement written in English or Chinese on one page of A4 size paper. Introduce your motivation of application: describe your interest and enthusiasm for your chosen major, and how your previous studies or experiences related to it. Describe what makes you suitable, such as relevant skills, experience, or achievements gained from previous education, work, and other activities.
13. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
