- Applicant applying for master's programs, applicant should have a bachelor degree or above and be no more than 35 years old;
- Outstanding in academic performance.
- If you are applying for English-taught programs, please provide Certificate of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL IBT 80 or above, received within the last two years. Students submitting any other English proficiency certificate may be asked to provide supplementary materials. Applicants whose native language is English do not need to provide these documents.

Program Description
I. Introduction
Taking the guiding principle of the combination of advanced technology and engineering realization as well as the basic theory research and its application, this discipline intends to cultivate talents with mechanical engineering R&D and manufacturing ability.
The main fields covered by this discipline include marine engineering equipment, aquaculture engineering, food processing machinery, ocean new energy equipment, modern logistics etc. It focuses on the study of the theories and application methods among machinery manufacturing, manufacturing process and mechatronics.
II. Approach
Either the supervisor or the supervision team with a leading supervisor takes full responsibility for the postgraduate student’s cultivation. The supervisor or the team should formulate and adjust the students’ training plans, and give advice in their professional studies, scientific research and dissertation writing.
Students pursuing master degrees are cultivated in the way of combination of course work and research.

Major and Elective Courses: Principles of Automatic Control Syllabus, Offshore Structure Engineering, Micro-fabrication Technologies International, Intelligent Control, Ship Information Hierarchical &Cooperative Control System, Plate and Shell Theory of Offshore Structures, Introduction of New Energy.

Written in English or Chinese, including research achievements thus far (e.g. title and abstracts of graduation thesis or published paper), reasons for choosing SHOU, study objectives while attending SHOU, future research and career plans, etc.

A clear copy of your valid passport with name, photo, birth date, place of birth, date of issue, and date of expiry clearly visible.

Written in English or Chinese by 2 different professors or associate professors from previous academic institutions. Can also include work supervisors, etc.

Written in English or Chinese, including your personal information, educational background, work or intern experience, achievements so far, etc.
9. Supervision Confirmation Letter from Professors of Shanghai Ocean University.

*10. Personal Statement
An essay statement written in English or Chinese on one page of A4 size paper. Introduce why you are applying, describe your interest and enthusiasm for your chosen major, and how your previous studies or experiences relate to it. Describe what makes you suitable, such as relevant skills, experience, or achievements gained from previous education, work, and other activities.
11. Supporting Documents: Certificate of Good Conduct
Provided by your current/previous school/company in Chinese/English to improve your success rate.
